Your B&B Hosts
Since we passed on our tea room after 28 years, we can focus entirely on our B&B and we do not have to give up caring for guests. It was great pleasure to equip the guest rooms with old furniture, pictures and many beautiful things, so that you can feel like at home.
We love to have guests.

What's Paris... Blankenese!
See for yourself! Blankenese is worth a visit - the Elbe, a wide and impressing stream, with its charming riverside,
is very close. Explore the small lanes and the over 4000 steps! It means a lot of ups and downs! Coming back „home“ on a nice and warm day you can have a rest in our small garden, where we created some cosy corners for you.
Monika Lühmann's life was rather colorful and quite exiting. She was born 1940 in the 2. world war and grew up in poverty. As a young woman she worked and lived in Lausanne, Paris and London and married into Blankenese and it became her obsession. She got engaged in local citizen’s politics and prevented some huge construction projects. At the age of almost 80 years she decided to write down her biography and should you be able to read German, you will be amazed about the numerous turns of her life.
The Book
Monika Lühmann's book "ACH WAS PARIS..." gives an insight into her 80 years of colorful life, tells of her childhood with hunger and hardship, of her youth in Ottensen, of life in London, Paris and Blankenese. The diversity of the stories is astonishing. They are serious and cheerful, exciting and informative. What is also special is that all the people mentioned in this book really exist or existed!

I am very sorry, but in future I cannot offer breakfast. I always enjoyed to prepare very early in the morning over 1 1/2 hours a nice and tasty breakfast for my guests, but I don't find the time any more.
Since it is possible to get a good breakfast in Blankenese near by, I am sure that nobody will start the day hungry. The tearoom downstairs for instance is open 5 days a week. In addition you can prepare yourselves a cup of tea or an instant coffee in your room.
The trade name "Lühmanns B&B" will remain, although it now should be P&P since we are, what we always have been, a nice an cosy Private Pension.
